We just we and saw Finding Nemo again last night, and we saw the trailer for the new Peter pan movie coming out in December. Wow this thing looks great. Very dark and sinsiter, lots of great swordplay. Should be very interesting to see.

A 3rd Pan movie? Interesting. I thought the 2nd wasn't to bad..but I'll probably wait for rental with this as I did its predecessor.

Like Pinocchio, do we need another Peter Pan movie?

Can anybody come up with anything original anymore? At least Treature Planet was a cool twist on the Treasure Island story.

I should clarify that this is not a Disney movie, nor is it animated. I don't know what studio is putting it out but it looks good.

Thanks for the link. I saw the trailer and it looks pretty good.

Yeah, Jason Isaacs is a great actor. I've enjoyed everything I've seen that he's done so far, even Event Horizon and Dragonheart.

I'm looking forward to this movie. I'm mean, I'm not like foaming at the mouth about it, but still....

From the limited info I've gathered from the trailers, it looks to be a closer adaptation to the J. M. Barrie story than the Disney animated schlock. Barrie's Peter Pan is rather dark in several places, being written during a time when it still widely recognized that all good children's stories contain an element of fear.

Also, Peter Pan is one of my son's favorite books. :)

Cap'n Hook and Mr. Darling are played by the same actor. I'm sure there is a reason for this. Is it symbolic or something else? Either way, it should make the movie a bit darker.

Still not sure if I'll go to it in the theatre, but I'm at least interested in seeing another trailer.

Yep, there's a tradition that Mr. Darling and Hook are played by the same actor. I think it's mentioned on one of the websites. Maybe something to do with Father-Is-Bad-Guy so Same-Guy-Plays-Real-Bad-Guy too. Dunno, really.
