On the topic of other RPGs for children/teenagers, there's The Prince's Kingdom (http://www.crngames.com/the_princes_kingdom/) and Best Friends (http://www.1km1kt.net/rpg/Best_Friends.php), although the latter is for adults playing teenagers, not for children themselves. There are several play reports from parents that ran TPK for their kids.

As for Malls and Morons, all the links I found were broken. Is there a copy of it available somewhere?

Briefly looking at these, I like the setting for Prince's Kingdom. Too bad they dont have a preview. Anyone ever try it?

So in a contest I roll against your talent and if I succeed you lose a point. Then you do something to me? So there are no 'opposed' rolls?

All Contests are opposed rolls, but only some of them result in the opponent losing a point somewhere. In this regard, your Talents are sort of like your HPs. But instead of dying you give up or fall down tired.

If your opponent is still in the Contest after your attack they can chose a response of their own, not necessarily the same one you chose. Someone being Annoyed might chose to Scold in return for instance. (A typical parent response.)

But remember that most NPCs will give up immediately after you successfully attack them. For instance who wants to endure continual Teasing unless they had a good reason to? :heh:

Let us not forget Razor in the Apple which is in the True 20 Worlds of Adventure book. That is designed for players to create children, although it obviously has a darker theme. It does have some good stuff in it though.

I think you have a come up with a very solid idea, I like the execution. Now if I only had some kids to play it.

Never heard of Worlds of Adventure. Yet one more thing to look into...

Thanks, I would let you borrow mine, but I am keeping them busy.

I read that as "parents that ran a TPK for their kids", and thought "Those pricks!"

In case anyone runs into this thread in the future I just wanted to add that I threw up a webpage for the game:

http://KidsRPG.com/

Sorry about the gratuitous cutesy picures. But when I was thinking of what kind of art to add to the page, my kids had ideas of their own. :) But sadly, I am in the process of looking for some highschool hijinks type art for the page to replace the photos eventually.
