Mark, what you're doing pretty much defines thread-crapping; it's no more okay than if someone muddled up a Creative Mountain thread based on something you said that they disliked. Please don't do this.

Carry on with the original thread, please, folks. ~ PCat

PC,

My apologies but you (or whoever reported my post) is reading my post all wrong. I don't dislike what was written. I am only trying to divine if there will be an editorial edge. The OP asked for opinions and letting him know that another site where publishers just submit their own PR is unnecesary, IMO, is important advice (particularly from a small publisher, IMO). Re-read what I wrote without the suspicion that I am against his idea for a news site. I certainly have nothing against Anthony, he just moved to Chicago a short while back and my only interaction with him of which I know is a thread where I helped him find some gamestores. Anyway, apologies again. Not sure where the thought I was threadcrapping came from but that absolutely was not my intention.

For the record Mark, I was NOT the one that reported your post. I am sorry if I misinterpreted your intentions. I just had a bad experience on the Troll Lord Games forums a few days ago and I guess I was a bit touchy. I think I understand now what you were trying to say.

If I ever see you around Games Plus, I will be sure to introduce myself and shake your hand. Will you be at the Game Day in September?

Hi Anthony,

I would like a central source that have a collection of publisher releases of news, etc. like GR did, and as Crothian suggested, also to provide a more active news in the form of interviews that further define out upcoming products.

Good luck!

Sorry again for any miscommunication on my own part. Never been to the TLG forums, so I couldn't comment on how typical that experience might have been. I know the C&C fans are very gung ho about their gaming.

I do plan making the next Chicago Gameday but that isn't until November 14th (plug :D). Which gameday do you mean? Feel free to drop me an email or PM anytime you are coming out to GP, though. I'm a few blocks away and always happy to break out a boardgame if time between work and grad classes permit.

Anyway, all's good and I am glad we cleared the air. I hope whoever did report us doesn't report us again for not giving up on the power of positive communication. It's what separates us from the non-gamers. ;)

Won't they be having an event for the DMG2 release in September? I was thinking of coming down and running Swords & Wizardry. :)

They probably will. With a new semester starting, I haven't kept up with the WotC schedule.

One phone call later . . . :D

I just gave a call to GP and they will have that on Sept 19th. Please, save me a seat in your S&W game, if you can. I have yet to play those rules and am very interested in giving them a try.

The following weekend is Conception if you are looking for more gaming. Last year, I tried out a lot of boardgames that I hadn't played previously -
