Hopefully they'll give this topic a bit more attention than they did in 3e. Personally, I'm all for just rewarding people for reaching goals, period. Tracking XP earned for every dead mook and then dividing up the total is not something I want to spend time on.Yergi said:New Sage Advice vid (this time with a bald Chris Perkins instead of a beflowered The Rouse). The question being answered is whether there are specific mechanics to reward reaching non-combat related goals.

The speed of my party's level up is related to how much food they bring to share on game day.kennew142 said:I reward the characters in my games with a new level whenever the stars are right. Usually after one very long adventure, two long adventures, three medium adventures or four short adventures. I wouldn't even know how many xp they have without consulting a chart somewhere.
