I'm gratified you enjoyed Proleptic Vision, I was actually kinda thinking about Cascade of Visions when I wrote it... one of my players recently began researching spells to determine when 'home base' was under attack, so it got me thinking, and one thing led to another (combined with the severe lack of 9th-level divinations for wizard types).
I definatly like the Proleptic vision, but I am compelled to ask: does it objects, or places, or people, or is it an and? What if you do not select the full amount?
Ferret: With proleptic visions, you get five of each. If you choose less than five.... er.... I guess you get less visions? (I imagine that it's kind of like the peril-sensitive sunglasses in HGttG- "no trouble today, guys!")
Cheiromancer: I debated the duration issue myself. I think making it 1 hr/lvl is prolly okay, but it might make it too good for a 2nd level spell... opinions?
Here's my take on the Protection from Pickpockets duration issue. Add a material component that is worth more than 1g (so no eschew materials) and make it a longer duration?
