New SW Products?

Maybe they'll say something there...

That's what I'm waiting for...

Hopefully, but I don't think they will... Though I'm not sure the line is dead I would lean towards it then I would towards seeing more RPG books in print.

Honestly, all I'm hoping for is an episode 3 update book, then I'll be happy to see the line end. I happen to be a fan of product lines that don't involve constantly buying new books.

That's why I love CyberPunk 2020 to this day. I -KNOW- my cyberpunk collection is complete.

I'm actually much of the same way but I want four books but would like to see 5 books.

Updated Starship sourcebook for the revised rules
Episode II or a "Clone Wars" sourcebook
Episode III or a "Rise of the Empire sourcebook
KotoR or an "Old Republic" sourcebook

And though I would never game in the era I would like to see the New Jedi Order books finished off. The one they have already is only part of it. (or so I’m told)

I would also like to see a sourcebook describing about 10-20 mid-core worlds.

In terms of wish list, if and when SWRPG products return, they should first complete the era sourcebooks: an Old Republic era book (the Tales of the Jedi era), Rise of the Empire era (the Republic from 1000 BBY to its fall), a New Republic book, and a second NJO era book. And a Clone Wars sourcebook, detailing the war and the Republic's last years, as well. One was actually at least partly written, by Dan Wallace, but cancelled/postponed along with Ultimate Battlestations and anything else that was scheduled at that point.

Actually, Ultimate Battlestations is apparently finished and just sitting around. I think that's what bugs me the most...

I'd be satisfied if they just put out a Rise of the Empire Sourcebook. From what I've seen, they actively support three eras, and that one is the only one that doesn't have a sourcebook. We have very little information on it, really, and now that Episode III is out, I don't see why we shouldn't.

To be fair, I've never heard anything to convince me Ultimate Battlestations is *finished*. It's been written, but that's a far cry from being done. It would still need art, maps, layout, editing, development, and approvals at the very least. That's a lot of money and effort, and a far cry from having something sitting around, ready to print.

On top of that, it was finished before RotS came out, so even some of the writing might need to be re-done.

That's the one I'd most like to see, pulling together the details about how the Republic works and opening out, especially, the pre-Episode I era for play. The final years of the the Republic, i.e. the Clone Wars and the literal rise of the Empire, are really a separate subject and deserve their own book.
