"Guys, the critter that just TPKed you was not my invention but that of Krishnath. If you want to lynch someone, then him!" ;)

 That's absolutely brilliant...pass the blame! ;)

OMG!

This is *exactly* what I've been needing for the biggest big-bad, nastiest critter I ever almost built for 3rd edition! In the game I ran, the evil being that was pulling the puppet strings across the whole world was Gorgoroth, a (crazily) advanced, half-fiend, psionic, 6 legged flightless black dragon with mucho levels in Sor and divine rank, that was confined to the abyss!

YOU'VE DONE IT! NOW HE CAN BE BUILT RIGHT!

ps: did I mention that his CR, when I built him, was something like 87?
He was *not* to be trifled with...it was his goal to control the *entire* world.

Heh, they wouldn't stand a chance. :D

Ferret: Why? It is common knowledge that extra limbs are one of the more common mutations, ranging from frogs with extra legs to cattle with extra heads. :D

EldonG: I'm glad you like it, but isn't CR 87 a little over the top?

Very over the top, Krish, but consider what he was doing - he was responsible for doing *bad things* to the good gods of that world, so that spells higher than 3rd level couldn't be cast by their clerics. All in all, it was a low-magic world - nobody knew about spells over 3rd level for wizards, either, as all the spellbooks had been destroyed (though forces of evil still had full knowledge)...all the heroes had been slain...any good character of 5th or 6th level was targetted by an assassin's guild...(though in the ruins of some other kingdoms, long forgotten by the folk that figured they were the last of mankind...and elfkind...dwarfkind...you get the picture...in those ruins, there *were* some heroes, fighting desperate struggles)

And Gorgoroth was ultimately responsible for *all of it*...mostly through indirect action...

He was never meant to be a challenge for the party...for their gods, maybe... ;)

I like the flavour of this very much. Lots of potential for story-telling here... Blind crawling earth dragons? I'm there! :)

Well, the template doesn't make them blind (why would it? They can see in darkness well enough between Blindsense and Darkvision), but nothing is stoping you from blinding the dragon in other way.

(Remembers the Dragons of Autumn Twillight Dragonlance Book fondly.)
