New Unearthed Arcana info

I've always wanted to say this:

This is gonna suck so hard. A recent revision and now they want to put out more new rules? All WOTC is out for is money. They don't think of how its going to affect our campaigns. I for one will not buy this piece of trash and am thinking about never buying anything from them again.

Was that convincing? :D

No, you forgot the obligatory my hate of woct knows no limit ;)

ES2,

Again, not REALLY comparing the two...Just saying I'm not sure I WOULD get this book since I like AU better for an alternative.

UA includes VP/WP, but also includes other systems (at least one of which was featured in an award-winning d20 game).
at a guess, i'm thinking the damage save mechanic from M&M?

Okay, this implies, to me, that at least some of this book is going to be OGC. Just maybe even all of it?

Anyone hear anything about that? (I know it's unlikely anyone has this early in the game, but...) Is this book going to be OGC, or in the SRD, or the like?

*hope, hope, hope...* :D

Someone asked that on Andy's Board...and Andy said it ISN'T the one from M&M...no idea what it is, though.

As for OGC...I really hope it is. I would EXPECT it to be...but nothing's been said about that so far...

Wrong... someone did ask, and Andy said, "Not telling. Too early."

I highly suspect that it is indeed the rules from MM. Actually, I'm quite looking forward to this book, there are a lot of very interesting ideas there. We just have to hope that the rules are balanced and playable. Damage absorbing armor in D&D, particularly when modelling high natural AC monsters, is ripe for balance issues.

A'koss.
