So, I found my copy of The Book of Vile Darkness and came up with a new invocation. Now I am wondering, looking at the original list of warlock invocations, are there any common situations that a warlock just lacks options? What kinds of powers does a warlock lack?
Charnel Blast
greater eldritch essence blast
Level equivalent: 6th
Description: You can turn your eldritch blast into a charnel blast. This blast does fire damage like a brimstone blast. In addition, if a target is slain by the blast the target's body is completely consumed by the flames, leaving no remains as per the spell Charnel Fire*. The target consumed by this spell can only be restored by True Resurrection.
*Note: Spell from the Book of Vile Darkness.
