The Storyteller is in it for the plot: the sense of mystery and the fun of participating in a narrative that has the satisfying arc of a good book or movie. He enjoys interacting with well-defined NPCs, even preferring antagonists who have genuine motivations and personality to mere monsters. To the Storyteller, the greatest reward of the game is participating in a compelling story with interesting and unpredictable plot threads, in which his actions and those of his fellow characters determine the resolution. Hi, all--

Thanks for trying out the quiz, and for posting your results and thoughts. Sorry I've been so slow to respond; I've been on vacation back in the States for the past week or so, and won't be getting back to reliable internet access for another week.

I put the quiz together as a tool to understand what players in my games want from their experience, so that I could create adventures that work well for everyone at the table. (Normally I wouldn't need a quiz for that sort of judgement, but I've moved recently and am starting up groups with people I don't know well--or at all.) I'll probably make a few tweaks to the questions based on these and other comments.

I'm glad you've enjoyed it--it's been cool reading all the responses!

Not particularly surprising. My Weekend Warrior score was higher than I expected, but I think that's due to the nature of the games I'm playing in which are much more about social gaming than immersive deep plot stuff.
