I especially like this quote: "The truth of the matter is that we listen to feedback, but the forums represent only one portion of our audience. There are tons and tons of gamers who don't come here and read the boards, or if they do read the boards they don't post."

Those tons and rons of gamers previuously had Dragon Magazine to voice their complaints. I guess now they'll use the Digital Initiative, since they don't use the internet to voice their complaints. Oh, wait a minute.......

The internet only matters when it agrees with them. Anything less and it's a vocal minority!

Except, of course, when it comes to the Digital Initiative, of course -- then the internet is the way to go!

No mention of flumphs?!? They are not listening to their audience!! Okay, okay...an audience of one, perhaps... Oh, and while we're at it; more undersea beasties and hags, please. :D

There's this thing called email, I hear it's pretty cool (Mearls also mentioned they get a lot of feedback via email).

Always sad to see someone mistaking a vocal minority for a general consensus.

Then again, I was disappointed with all the dragonspawn myself.
Yep. It is lucky he dodged the bullet this time.
Sometimes you reach the right conclusion even if it is for the wrong reasons.
:p

Interesting that the Phantom Ghast Ninja (is this a bad joke) got mentioned multiple times. It sounds, wierd, really really weird ( the ghast went to ninja school...and tha phantom part...uggg).

I know this is probably not helpful to anyone in any way but I will second the "uggg." Everyone knows the ninja school would never allow a ghast to enroll. ;)

Absolutely silly concept, but what else would I expect from a company that gave us a redeemed succubus riding a vrock?

Phantom Ghast Ninja sounds stupid sure. But what if I tell you if it's an undead assassin that can appear and disappear seemingly at will. Imho, that's creepy cool.

Then it should not be a Phantom or a Ghast; I go by the supposition that creatures have ecologies and reasons for existing.

Oh, Jesus Christ, like it's so hard to imagine that the humanoid the ghast was in life was a ninja, and that everything else came later? Libris Mortis includes the ghoul/ghast monster class, after all - so, while it was never a template in the Monster Manual, it's been effectively "templatised" enough that you can add it to an existing character.

Why make the leap that "phantom" has anything to do with undead? Is it because phantom steed makes an undead mount? Let me look . . . nope. Nothing undead there. :heh:

I think "phantom" is more a title for the ghast ninja than a new template in the book. Though, bringing in a "phantom" template to 3E D&D would be rather cool.
