News on the Digital Initiative

From Logan:
We already planned to interact with the community more (it's a big part of the Digital Initiative), but we hadn't done so before Paizo's announcement. We decided it was dumb to wait while people were on here complaining that we weren't here posting (though we lurk plenty).

Haven't been browsing much recently; but I didn't spot anything earlier today of note.

Cheers!

Well, nothing on the Digitial Init, but one thing's for sure: the WotC staffers are DEFINITELY making themselves more known on the WotC forums and on here; that new level of dialogue is an absolutely good thing, something I really haven't felt in a good 3 years now!

Agreed. I can understand that these folks have important things to do at work (like play D&D and make lich jokes, or, whatever :)), and, this means they can't spend all day glued to their keyboards (like some of us--even though we shouldn't). But, if they're going to push for more digital content, and a greater share of Internet resources, then they kinda have to spend more time online anyway. And, this should translate to more person hours spent online, overall, in the chats and boards. Doesn't mean it will, but it should.

We don't currently have plans for d20 Modern support, but that could change if demand increases.

To which my question would be: How exactly is the best way for customers to ensure that their demand is visible to Wizards?

This just made me realize how much I envy the WotC staff. Maybe not for actually working with the game all day (I loves me some programming), but for being able to crack a D&D joke or even mention the game without having anyone look at you like you have two heads.
