From D&D Q&A

We went to the Dungeons & Dragons Q&A session on Sat morning.

Jonathan Tweet, Bill Nuenann, Anthony Valterra, and a few others. Sorry was not taking gnotes- so this is from memory.

1. They are replacing Chainmail- the product should be out in the middle of next year. They did not have a lot of details only that it would have a direct link to D&D and would have some Chainmail compatibility.

2. There was 11,000 submissions to the Create a World. They are shooting for the end of Aug to be done with round 1.

3. They had just hired an intern to help update and add to the SRD.

The panel asked audience several questions to the audience- raise hand. The audience was about 100 people. Tweet took notes.

What level is your campaign? (most were 6-15)
Is your character at/below/even to the recommended wealth level ? (all 3 were about even)
Do you use miniatures? Do you use a battlemat?

That is all I kan remember.

Sorry, Jovah, but I have heard each and every numbered news items some time ago ... pre-GenCon.

I guess no one did confirm with Anthony Valterra about what new items will be added to the SRD soon (as in some time BEFORE November), nor try to find out if the VP/WP health system is one of the item to be added to the SRD.

Or that Forgotten Realms is on the chopping block if the sale of Silver Marches does not meet their expectation.

Charles Ryan has mentioned that VP/WP will be added to the SRD. No ETA, though.
And I don't think anyone has suggested that the sales of Silver Marches would affect whether FR would be discontinued or not. Sean Reynolds little story was more about what direction it would go in - books that are almost all crunch (like Magic of Faerûn) or books with more fluff (like Silver Marches).
