Do what you want, obviously. The post itself doesn't bother me as much as the seeming hypocrisy: no direct discussion of politics, but politics hidden as a fantasy joke are ok.

Because it is only a matter of time before it does become a political flamefest. . . .
However, I do believe the original post was meant to be in good fun and not meant as political commentary.
Check out Nemm's simple guidelines for dealing with this kind of thing:
1) If you believe that a thread contains offensive content, please alert the mods.
2) Don't post to the thread - essentially exacerbating things.
3) Stay out of the thread an wait for the mods to get back to you.
4) If you don't like the mods ruling: Stay out of the thread.
Nice and simple.
