This is a very cool announcement.

The only thing Gamma world I ever owned was an old module called: The Legion of Gold or something like that.

I would love to see an up to date Gamma world.

Do you suppose that is why the issue in Dungeon was named Omega World?

I am looking forward to seeing what they do with Gamma World. I really liked the old version before the last revamp...

Y'r ob'd'n't Gamma World developer here.

My view is that Gamma World is a place where "that's contrary to known science" is never ever a valid objection all on its own. "That's not fun" may well be. If the bear can't fire laser beams from its eyes, the game ain't done, or so I figure. The core of it has to be beer-and-pretzels fun like a big-screen action movie with no limit on the special effects and of course clever players to co-write and star.

I want it to have the potential for more than that, looting traditions of tribal and cultural heroes in the face of disaster. But it starts with "see the monster, hit the monster" fun.

I apologize if I was a little confusing...I like d20 Modern, I find it a great system and the class system is amazing. I also like Gamma World, didn't really care for the Alternity Conversion and I think that SSS actually doing Gamma World for d20 Modern is really awesome and I feel better about getting the book.

Omega World was okay, but not what I was wanting and now that I know that Gamma World is officially coming out, I can't wait.
