New Epic level rules, more planar material, and Al-Qadim would all be up my alley. But I agree with Pants that a (drastically) revised MMII would be nice. Especially if they added (drastically) revised content from Monsters of Faerun too. Bullywugs and perytons aren't Faerun-specific!

Demiurge out.

Another vote for a new Epic Level Handbook. Not sure if I would ever need it, but there are a few groups that play at my FLGS that would enjoy it.

Just out of curiosity, do people really use the ELH that much? Our group thought that it was "broken" (I really hate that term but it gets the point across) and it has pretty much collected dust ever since.

Are people asking for a rewrite because....?
1. They like to read crunch even if they don't use it.
2. They use the rule set routinely and would like a 3.5 update accordingly.
3. In theory they would run epic level games but the ruleset didn't run the game effectively.

Sorry to create a poll within a poll, but peoples responses got me very intrigued.

My vote is a combination answers and would have to be titled "Exotic Locales". I would update Oriental Adventures to 3.5 without duplicating alot of the old material and dump Rokgakon specifics (which I think they have to anyways). I would give Al-Qadim the 3.5 treatment it deserves. Then provide material for other cultures including Inca/Mayan/Aztecs. Possibly Indian and African. This would be a sort of tool kit book ala D20 future. The goal would not be to give you a playable setting for each culture but instead give you the basic building blocks to place an Al-Qadim like region into your homebrew or existing campaign.

The book would have PrC, significant artifacts/magical items, brief historical/cultural backgrounds, culture specific weapons, monsters of legend, and if possible some sort of pantheon.

Granted this book idea gets more expensive as I think of cultures and material but I think it would be cool

As an after thought I would really like to see an updated Castle Guide ala 2nd edition. I don't know why I loved the idea of my PC bulding his own monastery and then designing it based on the rules.

It just always seemed to me that the ELH would be on the burner for a 3.5 update. I doubt it's one of the heavily used books out there, but there are epic level groups in play these days, and they could use at least a 96 page softcover fleshing out the bare bones ideas that were updated in the 3.5 DMG.

Then again, I just expand the level charts for classes to level 25, add a few spells, and call it good. ;)

The only book on the list I'm interested in is Arabian Adventures 3e with Al-Qadim as the featured setting. I have no interest whatsoever in level 21+ rules, or the Epic-level Monster Manual (aka Deities & Demigods). Races of Faerûn is already pseudo-3.5e, and the Player's Guide to Faerûn updates what needs updating from that, the FRCS, and Magic of Faerûn. Hero Builder's Guidebook doesn't have much in the way of rules to begin with, and neither Arms and Equipment Guide nor Manual of the Planes has much in the way of rules material that needs updating. Oriental Adventures could use an update, but I'm totally uninterested in oriental stuff, and I think something new (Al-Qadim) should be prioritized higher than a slight revamp.

I voted on a lot of stuff... thats me though.
A non setting Oriental book would be good.
A WORKING Epic level rule set would be a great benefit!

Manual of the Planes and Deities and Demigods still work but a new release would be desirable... and a REAL Planar book... not that Planar Handbook thingy.

Arms and Equipment, yep... gimme. Bastion Press have one I should look at though

Expanded: Manual of the Planes

Horribly implemented and probably in need of a severe rework, though it probably won't be used by enough people a second time around to warrent publication: ELH (and erase Union from existance while you're at it)

Allowed to stay dead, obsolete, unused and unlamented: Deities and Demigods

Hey A'koss dude! :)

I would agree but after taking a long hard look at it I don't believe you can make a truly viable set of EL rules without re-working the first 20 levels to better accomodate them.

Its probably more a case of streamlining rather than reworking, with the exception of a few minor changes.

As it currently stands, IMO you would be better off creating an entirely new set of rules to deal with quasi-deities for post-20th level characters.

Unnecessary. Divinity is a dish best served as a Template. ;)
