Morrus says that we will soon have a new version of the boards!

Should I start stockpiling food and water? Will I lose my dear postcount before I get to the 1000 mark? Will I need to re-register for a username? Will I lose my CS status? Would it be prudent to make sure my avatar is saved somewhere else before this happens if I wanna use it again? Should I start contributing heavily to the "what threads should be saved" thread?

So basically: What does this imminent change mean to us "newbies" who were not around for previous version switches?

Won't affect you. All the user accounts, thrads, posts etc. will be imported. The new boards will have a different URL, otherwise you shouldn't notice a difference except for a few nifty new features.

Will you be staying with vBulletin or going to a different application? if you're going to a different app, how are you migrating the data? I'm curious.
