NG vs. N: Neutral Good Victorious!

William swoops in, his hand outstretched to bring the chill of death to the rocky monstrosity.

(Basically follow Rocky around and use Corrupting Touch on him until the big guy runs away or dies, time compress yee-hah... though owning that big rocky body like a puppet would have been more fun...)

William touches Rocky for 2 points of damage. Rocky has 150 HP remaining.

Round 418

Rocky sinks into the ground. William touches Rocky with an AoO for another 6 points of damage.

William can go 5 feet underground, touching Rocky for another 2 points of damage.

Round 419

Rocky withdraws further into the ground.

A draw is declared at the end of round 423.

Round 424

A winged lion with a woman's face lopes into the arena to 60N80E.

Next in round 424 for Neutral Good is a sacred watcher ([/U]Book of Exalted Deeds). It is just like the ghost fighter with one minor change. Gansk will tell you all about it as he takes control of this arena.

(Looks at BoED: Oh, this is going to be useless. No possession equivalent of malevolence and only 5 touch attacks.)

Wilhelmina flies in swiftly, one outstretched arm shining bright with positive ghostly energy.

(Charge attack to opponent, manifested.
Time Compress: If she can't hit me either, then deliver my 5 positive energy touch attacks and then sink into the ground away from her)

OOC: The five attacks are for healing living creatures or extra damage to undead only. You can still do normal damage with a touch attack just like a ghost.

Wilhelmina flies to 60N55E.

Round 425: Papsmere charges to 60N60E and swings through Wilhelmina four times.

Wilhelmina touches for 1. Papsmere has 51 hp left.

Round 426: Papsmere turns and flies to 60N110E. Wilhelmina touches with an AoO for 4. Papsmere has 47 hp left.

(OOC: Ah, whew. That's good)

Wilhelmina gives chase, charging after Papsmere with perfect precision.

(Time compress and repeat until Papsmere dies or runs away)

As Wilhelmina approaches with her charge, Papsmere flies to 0N110E.

Round 427: Papsmere flies to 0N50E. Wilhelmina is at 60N105E.

OOC: Hmm. I think this means not only can I never catch her, but anyone whose movement rate is greater than 1/2 of their opponents rate can never be caught. This provokes an interesting "is that the intent" problem. Consider that for opponent movement rate M, as long as I have movement rate M/2+5", I can move away and ready a MEA to move away from the opponent as they approach. As long as I have M/2+5", then the combination of my move + readied move will be greater than their move. The opponent can't charge to rectify this, since I can ready a move away at an angle that will break the straight line requirement of the charge. The only other cap on the equation is to have an move rate great enough to pin anyone within the current environment, even after the secondary move. So a movement of at least 60"+opponent_move would allow you to center yourself at 60N60E, move to the opponent, then be able to follow after the interrupt of the readied retreat.

Did I miss anything in the analysis?
If not, the Sacred Watcher will chase the Gynosphinx until the draw elapses.
