(OOC2: I'm not clear from the MMII, is the lupinal considered a guardinal and thus with the powers that all guardinals have?)
Edit: rereading it makes it seem fairly clear that Lou is indeed a guardinal. Now if I can just find that SRD reference that clarifies what all guardinals get.

The tiger lets go and runs out of the arena. (Rolled 8 Will save)

Lou flies up to 90N35E30Z.

A 16 foot tall amorphous, shifting cloud with two eyes and a mouth moves to 90N35E, then transforms itself into a 40 foot high whirlwind.

Lou is not damaged or sucked into the whirlwind. (Rolled natural 20 & 28 Ref saves)

Lou renews his howl, hoping to frighten off the latest opponent as well, and attempts to pull away from the maelstrom of air.

The whirlwind looks a little shaky. (Rolled 6 Will save) It moves to 30N35E.

Lou is not damaged or sucked in to the whirlwind. (Rolled 23 & 24 Ref saves)

Btw there is a 20 foot diameter swirling cloud of dust centered at 30N35E, but it is only 20 feet high.

Lou is damaged for 4 (rolled natural 1 Ref save - half damage because of blink), but is not trapped by the whirlwind. (Rolled 26 Ref save) He has 26 hp left.

OOC: I'm confused. I'm above the debris cloud, the opponent isn't moving, using SLAs, etc or strking. I don't want to look up the details for the creature, so can you tell in in-character terms what Lou is experiencing that is causing him damage or trying to pull him in?
