Game 5 is in the 2nd Overtime period as I type. Looks like this one is headed for a big finish.

I watched the overtime. Exciting stuff. The Penguins won, so I'm happy. Game 6 will be a battle.

All I had was the online NHL live score tracker. Not as exciting as actually watching the game but at least it kept me up to date with everything.

Oh, you miised something great. The Penguins were hanging on for dear life in the first overtime. They played a better second overtime, and both teams looked really tired in the third overtime.

It was great.

630 CHED, here in Edmonton, has been broadcasting the games using the NHL Radio feed. Click the link; you can listen live online. Hopefully, they don't black it out from your location.

It was SUCH a good game. Except for the rotten ice making everyone fall down and overskate the passes and whatnot. I was literally on the edge of my seat through the overtimes.

35 seconds from the cup! It would have been such a perfect storybook ending to win it in overtime at home. Oh well. We can do it tonight.

And of course...I work. I'm pulling for another long game, since the earliest I'll get home is 10:30. You can bet I'll be rushing all day to try to get out early.

Woo hoo! Red Wings win!

I only managed to log on for the last 2 minutes. One minute I look and it is 3-1. It looked totally in the bag. A few seconds later and it was suddenly 3-2. The last minute or so was horrible. I just sat there, watching the little timer count down, hoping like hell that I didn't see another goal added to the Penguins score.

It's a pity that they couldn't win it on home ice but I'll still take it! :D

Go Wings!

Way to go Wings!

Oh, and the Hockey Night in Canada theme is officially dead. Booo. CBC just keeps dropping the ball. Hooray for TSN.

I went to the celebration downtown and watched (from considerable distance) the team come up on the stage and speak. Nick lifted the cup and we cheered with great loudness. A few hundred feet away isn't exactly CLOSE to the cup, but it was keen just to lay eyes on it.

It's so shiny...
