The Night Below gallery has been released. You can view it here.

I think it is a pretty strong set overall. I'm not quite sure why the Dread Wraith is wielding a sword though.

I would say the answer is: Because it looks cool! It does put one in mind of the Nazgul in LOR.

Who's Loviatar again? I know it's FR... but what exactly does the pasty chick with the whip do?

Loviatar is the Goddess of Pain and Torture basically. Her followers are sadists and masochists.

Hmm. Here's my count on this set:
17 of 24 Rares that I would like.
14 of 24 uncommons I want.
6 of 12 commons I want.

21 Medium or Small non-monster humanoids. Ick. (7 Commons, 8 uncommons, 6 Rares)

Overall, there's too much of the best stuff hidden away in the rares and way too many humanoids. I'm probably going to have to hit the secondary market for what I want.

I think the answer you wanted was "I'm going to have to buy a case, since I know I'll want almost all the rares." It's almost never as economical to buy rares straight up compared to getting them in a case, assuming there's enough rares you want.

Some nice looking minis there, but this will be the first set since Dragoneye that I don't buy a case.

I have too many minis to do the random thing anymore, and I don't need any more common PC-types. Ah, e-bay...

I don't do random, but there are a couple I'd look for on the secondary market. I could use the frost giant, at least.

The paint jobs on this set look almost uniformly pathetic, though. Way too much stuff with a single drab color, especially the biggies.

Same here Dave, this is the first time I am splitting a single case with a friend and then buying the ones I really want on ebay. Partly however because I am not as impressed with this set as I was hoping to be, but yes, also partly because I have too many humanoids already. Perhaps we will see an all monster edition come out some day... I'd probably buy multiple cases for something like that.

I think you need to adjust your monitor settings. ;)

Well umm, I like the Frost Giant, and Kuo-toa. Dragons are cool, but really of limited use for me. Mounted things are not much use to me without a corresponding unmounted figure. Dire Tiger looks pathetic. I guess I could use a few of the more demonic/outsider looking types.

Overall, not terribly impressed.

The monitor is fine.

Dread Wraith, Bluespawn Ambusher, Brass Golem, Darkmantle, Earth Mephit, Ice Mephit, Noble Salamander, Shadow, Large Shadow Dragon, Large White Dragon, and Verdant of the Reaver look like they were dipped in a vat. Greater Barghest, Chaos Beast, Dire Tiger, and the Gold Dragon ain't no great shakes, either. I'd expect that from a bunch of $1/.bag army men, but to do large rares with such low quality is pretty poor, IMO.

A few look exceptional, and several are hard to tell without being able to look at them in 3d, but there's nothing here to make me reconsider buying anything but singles.

A lot of them - Dire Tiger, Greater Basilisk, Giant Eagle in particular - seem to have been shot from rather unflattering angles, which is a bit odd. Those three looked much better in the spoiler pics from a while ago.

Agree this set is all about the uncommons and commons - shadow, babau, carnage demon, greater barghest (typo in the gallery - it's really an uncommon), cerebrilith, brass golem, earth mephit, the gnoll, the kuo-toas, eagle, medusa, chaos beast and carrion crawler (despite dumb saddle thing) are all great. The three mounted rares, the three unique rares, the Shadow Dragon, and a few of the Medium rares like the Shadowbane Inquisitor and Exarch of Tyranny are distinctly underwhelming, but should be usable as trade fodder if I'm unlucky enough to get them - and since I'd like multiple Noble Salamanders, Berserk Flesh Golems, Dread Wraiths, and Dire Tigers, I'll probably need it.
