I will need to get some of those. I have tried to build my own and it just doesn't work.

This set may be the best since last summer's WotDQ.

And this is why people need to remember that their little corner of gaming is just one slice of the pie. AKA, if it's not doing well in your area, that's no indication that the game isnt doing well in others.

It bothered me too that he mentioned getting three or four of the rare dracotaurs. That almost seems like not-so-subliminal "You NEED three or four dracotaurs." Personally, if i can get 1 rare of each in a set then i'm happy, and sometimes if i get 2 that's cool also (unless it's that stupid mounted griffon rider that i'll never use; i have 3 of those)

It's easy enough to substitute another miniature (even a flat counter) if you have at least one that looks exactly like the creature being fought. Jeez, this miniature hobby gets expensive. Too bad i love them so much.

Haven't heard that before. Where are you from? If you're not from North America, it might seem that way, since they neglected the rest of the world. Want to get some of those cool promo minis in Europe? As some bonus from your FLGS, just like you can in America? Forget it.

I found it strange that they mentioned spawn-haters in the article. You don't typically promote something by saying that there's a group of people that don't like it.

I didn't see their gnome comments directed at you a while back as being mean spirited or intended to insult you at all; it seemed to me like light-hearted & playful recognition of your involvement in the community. I can think of plenty of DDM fans who would have been glad to get a shout-out like that from the developers.

While they later assured us that the "Take that, K", wasn't directed at me, but at some D&D NPT from some old module or something (some mad gnome who wanted to take over the world or something), it did not seem playful to me at all.

Such a shout-out might be nice, but instead of jokes like that, I would have liked an answer to my question(s). I didn't ask for gnome figures just once, and I wasn't the only one to ask. As far as I know it was the only issue that took over a year (and some nasty spelling) to get an answer.

So next time, they can make some playful jokes as much as they want - as soon as they give me an answer to my questions (not that we didn't even get "sorry, can't answer that").

Often, the difference between some playful teasing and insulting someone is how you treat him otherwise and in what state he is when you address him. If you're ignoring his questions except to make jokes of it, and if he's already somewhat angry at you for not answering him, you can guess that your "playful jokes" are more likely to be taken as ridicule and insults.
