Hmmm, the one year I went to both cons (back in the mists of the '80s) I had a much better time at Origins. But that is now ancient history...

The Auld Grump, the only time that I have ever don major cons...

I go to both every year and whereas I have a blast at both, I think I like Origins a little more. It is not as crowded and if you forget to prereg for games you can probably get into some good ones rather easily. Not really the case at GenCon. Of course, at GenCon you have a bigger con atmosphere with all the people, guests and so on.

GenCon its bigger. It's always been the gamer's Mecca IMHO..back to the days when it was in Lake Geneva

Looks like the decision has already been made, but I voted anyways! I went with GenCon. I think both are a great time and I attended both last year. But GenCon seems to be *the* one to go to. You will have a great time!
