Nightmare Spinner/Escalation Mage

Because of story-reasons in my current campaign, I have taken the first level of both the Nightmare Spinner (from Complete Mage) and Escalation Mage (from Faiths of Eberron).

Last weeks session, I gained a level. And I find myself unable to choose which prestige class to advance...


I'm looking for people with experience with (or, at the very least, access to the materials containing ) both classes.

Given I am currently gaining my 15th Character Level, and I am unsure how many more levels this campaign is going to include, which prestige class would you advance?

I'd probably go Nightmare Spinner because Nightmare Phantasm is a useful debuff, and later on Spirit Chill could be useful to help knock opponents out faster.

Quick question though: Have you considered Dread Witch from Heroes of Horror? Few things beat it in the fear department because at 4th level on it can affect things normally immune to fear.
