Pathfinder 1E Nilbog's Damage Reversal and Save or Die spells

Do Save or Die spells like Phantasmal Killer or Cloudkill completely bypass a Nilbog's Damage Reversal?

If the target fails the saving throw(s) for either spell, the target dies. There is no mention of damage taken unless the target makes the saving throw(s).

Damage Reversal: When struck by any attack that would normally damage the nilbog, it actually gains hit points equal to the damage the attack would have otherwise dealt. A nilbog gains any extra hit points above its normal total as temporary hit points, though it can never have more than twice its normal hit points. (Excess hit points are simply lost.). The nilbog can only be damaged through the use of curative magic and effects (cure light wounds and healing potions, for instance). Curative magic deals damage equal to the amount it would normally heal.

If Save or Die spells do not kill a nilbog, does the "killshot" represent all current HP + Temp HP + CON score? Meaning a nilbog struck with phantasmal killer would end up with max HP + max Temp HP.

Thank you,

By RAW, no. Damage Reversal does not affect things which do not deal hit point damage. If you cast Phantasmal Killer on a Nilbog and it fails its Will save and its Fort save then it dies. If it passes the Fort save it will gain 3d6 hit points however.

Yeah, spells and attacks that cause no hit point of damage (assassination for example) cannot be damage reversed by spell, since technically damage isn't being done, only death - hit points are being bypassed altogether.

Nilbogs live in Opposite Land.
Slay Living is Raise Dead for Nilbogs.
Save or Die poison fully heals them.
Disintegrate regenerates lost body parts.
There are plenty of other options.
