(OOC: In general, you never have to pay for the focus, though there are certainly exceptions for weird and exotic ones. It isn't consumed, so they're going to have one already for spells they can cast. Also, 280 gold is for a 4th level spell--which one are you thinking?)

(OOC: That could work. Of note, Augury is much cheaper at 60 gold if we can get a good question for Weal or Woe. For instance, if we ask "Should we look for her in X", we should expect "Weal" or "Weal and Woe" in the right place.)

OOC: Of note, the head priest is involved in some gladitorial services, and he is the one who would have access to 4th level spells. The staff informs you that he will be available tomorrow if you need him. 3rd and lower are available right now.

(OOC: Unfortunately, I checked Augury and it only works 30 minutes into the future, so it is of no help. We'll wait for the Divination. Unless we can get a magic spell that points out the things Troi noticed that were important that we've been overlooking )

OOC: That's the problem, some of the "clues" he picks up from them I may not know till he does. Anyway, the spell issue still stands. Of course, you could always seek out the high priest at his engagement fif you realy need him
