No Boys Allowed!

The most frightened I've ever been regarding D&D was while visiting a female friend while she DM'd her all girl group. They were the most blood-thirsty, cutthroat, hack'n'slash bunch I've EVER seen, and it didn't matter the gender or species of their opponents.

Eris, you might find www.d20chyx.com an interesting site.

Do I know you? That seems to be half my characters..... ready to kill stuff. Not to mention, liking to use "Colorful Metaphors" [/Spock] on a semi-regular basis, depending on the character.

Sounds like a fun little get-together, eris. Sometimes I wished the girls from my group would make their own -- I can't DM for eight people, as much as I may like to.

And pay ye no mind to the snarky boys, they're still a little in awe that a girl knows what a d20 is :p ;)

Wow that sounds great. As a female player I have wondered what it would be like to play in an all female game. I think it would be a blast. And we might actually get something done as a team rather than all the guys just charging in with no plan weapons swinging. ;)

You kiddin' me? With a crazy barbarian and a rapier-wielding rapier-wit, they're going to be flinging both words and blades pretty impulsively....talk about a one-two punch! You get the swashbuckler insulting your collar right before the barbarian puts an axe through it!

Please don't take my fantasy away from me. It is what keeps me going every Friday night as I watch our group trip over clues, stumble into plot hooks and just barely escape TPKs. Which I suspect we maybe escaping because the DM takes pity on us. :\

Can I join?

I like feathers, beatings and verbal abuse, puppies, wine coolers and rainstorms. I promise no pizza, wings beer and farting, like in my normal group....Oh...and I'll play the Cleric....

Seriously...you girls are really cool...I tried to get one girlfriend into gaming about 10 years ago, but she wound up not digging it too much....She did like to paint the figs however, and did an amazing job. Plus, she was a hairdresser, and cut all us poor ass collegeboys hair for free..

Hail Hail! Hail Yes! to this thread 5 times.

Sounds really cool. You'll be posting a story hour to keep us updated on what happens, yeh?

Oh, and...

I sank this thread! Sploosh!!

Thanks for the words of encouragement and alternate snarkiness - I wouldn't have called the thread "No Boys Allowed" if I wasn't prepared for the unoriginal jokes. :)

You know, we decided to try having our own group not because we think our other group is lacking, but because it's refreshing to find and know other girls who like gaming. It wasn't that long ago that I was the only girl in the gaming group and for a while I felt sort of like a freak - I've always been a girl geek, I've never liked typical "girl stuff" and it's nice to know other girls who are like me.

And besides, one more night of gaming - woo hoo!

I'm not sure how often we'll be able to get together, but I'll try to post a story hour. It just might not be updated very often. :\
