No colossal creature?

The tarrasque and ancient dragons are "merely" gargantuan, with no colossal creature in sigth in the MM.

Any thoughts on that?

I believe someone stated that gargantuan encompasses all larger creatures and tiny encompasses all smaller creatures. No big deal.
