No Cons in DC area?

Oh, there are Cons in the DC area - most are summer though, and small.

There's a con (Castlecon?) in the June/July time frame.
UMD-College Park has a con float through every now and then.
Balticon is really an SF con, but it has a *very* small gaming attachment.

I really miss the days when Origins toured the country.

As for Gaming Day - I'd come. Heck, it probably wouldn't even be hard to talk one of the local FLGS's to pony up/allow us to use their space.

I live in DC also (well, Silver Spring but I'm about to move into DC). A good place to get info on local cons would be the DCRPG yahoogroup. I don't know much about RPGA cons anymore, I gave those up then Living City died. There are a few LARPs in the area if you are interested, mostly Vampire.

There are a decent number of conventions in the DC area.

If you are interested in just general gaming conventions, I would stop by the Game Parlor in Chantilly and take a look at their fliers.

If you are interested in RPGA gaming in the DC area, you might check out the Living Greyhawk's DC area mailing list -- that will have a list of many of the major DC area RPGA cons. groups.yahoo.com/group/living-geoff

There are a number of cons, but nothing the size of Origins.

The Warhammer con in Baltimore is pretty cool if you are into that sort of stuff.

Balticon is awesome for fiction.

I saw this post and for some reason thought convicts. :)

So are you trying to tell us that despite the context and theme of this entire ENWorld Board, you just naturally associate the DC-metro area with convicts.... ?

(So, you must have visited here or something ;-)
