Sometimes I doubt he actually is one.

It is difficult to show Jack's Bauers change of personality, but I think it has changed. Ever since the death of his wife, things became worse for him, and I think he now has some serious emotional issues. I would like to believe his time in prison could have helped, but I doubt that regular interrogation and torture helped him to "medidate" about his issues. :/

Its amazing that Jack Baer's will is strong enough that he hasn't yet tried ending it like Martin Riggs (from Lethal Weapon) would have if placed in the same situation.. But, when I think about it, thats a good thing considering that every character that would have been able to talk Jack Baer out of killing himself has already been killed off (or is not on speaking terms with him)... Well.. everyone except for Chloe that is.

He has too strong a personality to do that, though they made it clear he was not only willing to die, but kind of wanted to at thebeginning of the season. Jack said the only reason he didn't give up while held by the Chinese is because he wanted his death to mean/be for something.
