NO News at all yet?

I'm shocked at Shem's response. Shocked, I tell you. ;)

*bow* :)

But seriously dude, if it was me, -I'd- be worried about writing a book on the same or very similar topic only a few years after FCI was released. That's a daunting thing to be compared to. It would be like trying to write a yugoloth book only a handful of years after 'Faces of Evil'.

In all the hay over Dark Sun, I noticed we haven't seen any leaks about PHB3.

Also, there's no indication what's coming out next year past September.

Also, I want my fey book. :.-(

Just twitter #gencon to see all the news.

For example, just saw this :

"DDI folks will have 1/3 to 1/2 of #dnd PHB3 before it is published." and "PHB3 content will be 1/2 debuted before the book. New races in addition to Revenant"

"Lots of discussion of adventures for children"

"Supposed D&D videogame from Atari announcement within a year, no details yet."

"We are going to try very hard not to shoehorn 4e conceits into Dark Sun" -Bill"

"Dark Sun: "We're going back to the original box set" as far as timeline goes."

"PDFs: working on that, but no announcements yet."

"MM3 with Lolth, DMG3 in Sept. Epic level play focus"

"Revenge of the Giants, super adventure inspired by (not remake) of Against the Giants"

"DMG2 has chapter on adding story, skill challenges, paragon tier, Sigil"

"$5 PHBs sold out in an hour or so." followed by "Players handbooks back at Wizards booth" the next day.

I imagine that the Demonomicon will irritate a lot of the 3e/Pathfinder crowd because I think some things will change to fit the defacto 4e cosmology. As a 4e player and DM, however, I'm very excited about the product.

I should think that that those people who are going to be irritated by the 4E Demonomicon are being entirely irrational. If they're not playing / running 4E then it shouldn't matter at all. We have the EXCELLENT Fiendish Codexes from WOTC (3.5 of course) as well as the Demonomicon articles in Dragon (which you can still get in PDF form in their respective Dragon issues over at Paizo).

I'm sorry but if you're a 3.5 / Pathfinder proponent (which I am) and youre STILL griping about the 4E changes when there's a metric buttload of 3.5 material out there then you've got issues that have nothing to do with editions.
It's been about a year now can we just play our respective games and move on?

I agree with ShinHakkaider, although unlike Hjorimir I don't think many 3E and/or Pathfinder players will be at all concerned about what 4E do to Demons, Devils and the cosmology. I think both 3E and Pathfinder players are well covered in that area so they have no need to buy the 4E books on the subject (unless they are just really interested in reading more fluff on those subjects).

Why would we care? We'll have our own demon based stuff from pathfinder that fits our confort-zone, and its not liek WOTC is coming to burn my other 3.5 books.

I may think what I hear is stupid, since it fits their new cosmology, but I dont have to care.
