Though, rather interestingly, they employed a fair bit of live action rotoscoping.Sounds promising. Technically, the Rankin Bass movies were already Anime.
That's the Bashki movie, I mean the Hobbit and Return of the King that were animated by the team that would go on to form Studio Ghibli.Though, rather interestingly, they employed a fair bit of live action rotoscoping.
Ah, yes. Thanks for the correction. That's the Bashki movie, I mean the Hobbit and Return of the King that were animated by the team that would go on to form Studio Ghibli.
too many winters since game of thrones?I'm not crazy about the name. I wonder why they aren't going with "The Long Winter".

I expect the real reason for the choice of title has more to do with wanting to give fans of the movies something to recognize in calling out the name Rohirrim. The Long Winter is the name Tolkien gives to what seems to be the central event of this new film, and it’s a title I would prefer, or something else based on Tolkien’s actual text. “War of the Rohirrim” seems like a marketing invention, especially so since there was a simultaneous war in Gondor that prevented the two nations from helping each other until the end. Also, it was the first time that Gandalf became acquainted with the Shire folk, leading to his choosing of Bilbo to join the Quest of Erebor.too many winters since game of thrones?
