eyebeams said:One thing I've noticed with 2e fans is that they have what you might call "raging disinterest" in 3e *and* 1E. Most of them don't want to have anything to do with edition nostalgia. They actually just want to play D&D, have rules to do so and feel no need to switch. They lost interest in keeping up with D&D when the Players Option books came out. A few of 'em bought 3e PHBs, then gave them away, since updating their campaigns to comply would be too much of a pain.
