I'm glad to see some hate for the Duskblade finally starting to accumulate. Remember all the "is the duskblade overpowered" threads when PHB2 came out?

I mean, it's got full BAB, full spellcasting progression, wears armor, and later on, it can burn one touch spell and apply it to every hit in a full attack sequence. How does that not scream overpowered?

I like all of these. The binder's an awesome concept, much more "I dabble in dark forbidden sorcery" than any other mage, even the warlock - my ideal fantasy mage is half binder, half warlock, and a little bit of UA's incantations on top. Maybe someday I'll even get to work out the specifics.

I'm gunning for Psychic Warrior here. I don't know why, come to think of it, now that I just remembered the awesomely irritating existence of psicrystals. Gah. Going after psion from now on.

All the classes I hated vanished. So there's no point for me to vote. Maybe someone should give a brief overview of the remaining classes.

Archivist: Think arcane cleric. Delver of lost, forgotten lore. Pries into secrets man was not meant to know. Casts prepared divine spells from the cleric list, but unlike most other divine casters the archivist keeps a prayer book similar to how a wizard keeps their spells. The trick there lies in that they can learn divine spells from any divine caster class list if they encounter a scroll of the particular spell.

Beguiler: Is to enchantment and illusion spells what the dread necromancer is to necromancy, and the warmage is to evocation.

Binder: Compacts with vestiges of dead gods and other lost beings of great power to channel some of their essence in the form of a thematically linked set of abilities.

Duskblade: A 20 level fighter/mage class, essentially.

Psion: The psionic version of the wizard (ignoring the erudite), but additionally you have to specialize in a particular type of psionics: telepathy, kinetics, etc.

Psychic Warrior: A fighter/psion, but their casting uses a different stat (wis instead of int), and their class list of powers tend to be more direct-action and self-augmentation oriented.

Scout: The wilderninja. A ranger with less focus on fighting and more on exploration. Oh, and no divine spellcasting or animal companion.

Warlock: A caster that's bound themselves to a dangerous extraplanar entity of some kind in exchange for power. Instead of casting spells, they learn to manifest incantations which are spell-like abilities. They only know a very (very) small number of incantations, but they can use what they know whenever they want.

I'm a little surprised at how the binder jumped to the fore in the last two polls. The third poll back it was a very minor contender - even against the psion.

The psion seems all but destined to fall next time, but after that it seems almost up to chance. A few have been holding out for a while now (in low number of votes: Duskblade, Scout, Warlock), but nearly all of them have between 15 and 30 votes to their name - with most around the 20-25 range.

It has been nice to see psionics last so well and so long against the other classes. Even if the psion falls next time (round 13), the psychic warrior seems poised to last perhaps until the last two or three rounds.

I'll bet one of your predictions is wrong.

If the pro-psion block holds together the psion could last longer than you may think.
The smart thing to do next would be all vote for the archivist.
There may be enough pro-psion + anti-archivist to hold off the psi-haters.

If not, then the psi-haters will turn their sites on the psychic warrior next and it will go from safe to dead very quickly.

We will see which way it goes.

Either way, I agree that 2 psi classes in the top 7 is a nice showing of support.
