Psionics are my choice again, starting with Wilder. Incarnum stuff will be my next focus assuming they aren't already gone by the time the psionic classes are out.

It does seem kind of random when it uses its primary ability, wild surge, which isn't well balanced either. I'll probably vote off the bad psionic classes last, but it and the soulknife are both begging to get kicked off the island.
It is just a flat spell failure chance, the same as a Wizard in armour.

Gone I hope will be the Favored Soul. In this dish we add a dash of Sorcerer casting, a heaping of divine spells, and a measure of class abilities; it renders: no flavor. Thbbbt.

I keep going for Psionics, but this time, instead of going with Psion, I'll go with wilder, since there's strength in numbers.

In responce to someone in the last thread, I've used Psi in my games... I'm just not a big fan.

I'm voting off the swashbuckler. Why is it so hard to make a lightly armored fighter thats DECENT?
I'm playing a rogue/swashbuckler right now that I'm quite enjoying. However, I agree with Psi-Severed Head that d20 Modern does this much better with the Fast Hero already. My vote was for Warmage. That's too narrow a niche, IMO, and amongst the least interesting of those that's left. Then again, I'm not very familiar with the new classes from books like Tome of Magic or Incarnum; I have, but have not read those books.

Rolling a percentile is random.
That's not a very useful statement. So is rolling a Concentration check, a Caster Level check, or a Ranged Touch attack roll. The point is, the Wilder's mechanics are not any more random than any d20 core mechanic. They do not have wildly diverging results on a chart. They merely have a roll for success or failure. By the way, I actually like the Wild Mage, so I'm not trying to 'defend' the Wilder here. In fact, I'll admit that Aesthetic Monk has valid points about the class with which I agree--just play a Psion with Overchannel and Talented.

I'm torn on the Favored Soul. I so dearly wanted to see an official spontaneous divine caster but geeeeeez...the Favored Soul is pretty far from what I was hoping for. I just hate to vote against it because it's the only spontaneous divine caster.

I find it interesting that there is a noticeable number of people that seem to dispise the knight and Dragon shaman (really, i don't have any problem with either class, i've DM'd them both, and played one)

However, out of all books provided, I see that the PHBII is possibly the strongest contender to keep all of it's pieces in the game! Look at the classes voted out this far, by their books!

Complete warrior: 1
Complete arcane: 1
Complete Adventurer: 1
Miniatures handbook: 2
Tome of Magic: 1
Complete Psionic: 1

books not yet touched:

Heroes of Horror: (2 entrants)
Eberron Campaign Setting: (1 entrant)
Players Handbook II: (4 entrants)
Complete Divine: (3 entrants)
Magic of Incarnum (but they are beginning to go this round)
Expanded Psionic (Also going this round)

Hmm... you know, now that I see it again, I fear not enough people know Heroes of Horror to get a proper grasp on their two base classes. and with only one entry, an eberron artificer elimination would completely eliminate their book.

This round I'm going with the Dragon Shaman. There's nothing really bad about it mechanically, but one of its major class abilities doesn't really fit the flavor. There's nothing inherently draconic about projecting auras.
