I do not even think that this round needs to continue. Just un-necessary pain for the CW Samurai. Give 'em some mercy and close this one, and go on to the next round.

Well, I did set it on "timer", so I'll wait until it closes. Besides, it's a very close fight for 3rd place (in fact, 2 are tied, with a number 1 behind them). Since I'm eliminating three (at least)...

Anyway, I just want psionics out, so I went there first. And given that Psion is practically the quintessential psionic user, there was my vote.

You have a uphill fight, I believe. The Psionics classes are the next least voted for after the PHB II (excluding the wilder).

Off topic - the real problem isn't with those things. The problem is, that samurai, by the time they were reading poetry and whatnot, weren't a warrior caste but a social class. Edo period Japan puts samurai on the top of the heap. However, being a samurai had little or nothing to do with your skill with weapons and everything to do with your social class. There were lots of women samurai for example, but, I'll guarantee you they were's wielding weapons of any kind.
If your samurai aren't doing the stuff that the Samurai class implies, give them Aristocrat levels after their first class level for the weapon and armour proficiencies. Or just go straight Aristocrat. I could link to a certain Order of the Stick episode, but I'm guessing you've probably seen it.

Anyway, the point is, it says right in the Oriental Adventures book that samurai can be samurai without being Samurai. And in a D&D world, it would be much more important to keep your martial skills up in addition to being refined and poised.

Besides, Fighters don't get Iaijutsu Focus as a class skill! :p

Well, Samurai has 52 votes at this point. It'll be more interesting to see what gets voted off for the next couple of rounds now that the big ones are gone.

I'll be sorry to see the Healer go to be honest. I was hoping it would survive longer. Boring class for a PC but a great class for a cohort.

I hate the Samurai class too. Not because it was "done wrong" but because I prefer just using the figher class for samurai. Ninjas? They are rogues. Or maybe rogue/monks, or rogue/sorcerers, depending. Shugenja? Clerics or druids. Wu Jen = wizards or sorcerers.

I voted for the healer, so I'm curious: what makes it a better cohort than a cleric or a bard?
