This will be key, thanks. The email fight began, the arcane trickster has this prepared and the assassin got by my eldritch knight despite see invisible going (dust of disappearance I assume).

I have blindfighting and struck at the invisible assassin after he death blow attacked our paladin for 64 points of damage (the paladin saved and had neutralize poison going which neutralized the massive Con poison on the assassin's magic axe blade). Unfortunately even with blindfighting and hitting the right square I missed with a modified attack roll of 33, so he has a great AC.

We are also facing a 16th level (or so) vampiric mystic theurge, six vampire spawn and an advanced girallion turned vamp. It will be an interesting fight.

and if he is not a magic user (or heavily dependent on magic items) Antimagic Aura does not really hinder him all that much.

It will shut down all of his magic gear, as well as prevent him from shifting to gaseous form or dealing negative levels with his slam attacks.
