Noonian Hodgepodge

TerraDave

5ever, or until 2024
WotC_Dave is back to the blog, but not a lot to say on D&D (though you have to wonder on that sourcebook).

Playtesting: Starting to get results back from two big playtest groups. And I think we'll start the next batch next week or the week after. I've just skimmed the results at a "yep, those files are complete" level, so no overall impressions to report. But I'll share some next week in this space.

Podcast: Mike Mearls and I recorded a podcast right before Christmas. I bet it'll go up next week. The topic? "You May Already Be Playing 4e." And I think we'll delve into the mailbag for the next one. More on this once we make up our minds.

Daily Work: Work on ranger stuff for an upcoming sourcebook, some structural fiddling with a Forgotten Realms adventure, and a critique for my colleagues on some economic stuff for the core game. We'll see how much gets done, eh?

He also goes on about Rock Band. If your interested in that kind of thing.

EDIT: I havenot quite recovered from the Hollidays. Title changed.

Shouldn't this be Noonanian hodgepodge?

As for Guitar Hero & Rock Band...loving them.

You haven't heard of WotC's very own...Dave Mearls?

I have to admit I have a very hard time telling them apart on the podcast. But then, I can't tell any of these guys apart on podcasters. It's like there's some kind of generic gamer podcaster voice they all speak in. Amerigamerese, or something.

Cheers,
Cam

Ranger stuff for a for an upcoming sourcebook? Maybe it's for the martial book that might supposedly show later this year...

Ok, ok, I fixed it. And its was before I read the replies.

But yeah, Dave Mearls actually does sound about right.

Best games I've played in years---video or otherwise.
I agree. It's only due to hearing both of them in a couple GenCon seminars a few years ago (Mearls and Greenwood entertained us with tales of their lives, while Noonan was in a dozen different WotC seminars) that I can tell them apart...well, I recognize Noonan's voice, which makes the non-Noonan voice Mearls.
