NorCal Game Day, April 6th - Signup's over for me. Anyone else into masochism?

OK, everyone, I went searching for the last thread on this and couldn't find it. Our last date was Superbowl Sunday of all days!

I suggest a Sunday in April. Plenty of time to plan, no holidays or special events and it's the month before KublaCon.

We need a definite date and a place. If you want to restrict it to ENWorlders, that's fine, but turnout might be better if I sounded the call on the NorCal HMA board. Who knows, a couple of 3e games, a couple of HackMaster games; it's all good!

Right now, let's just set a date, get a place and a couple of games set up and I'll play the rest by ear. Like I said before, I run enough. I wanna play in this little gathering. Step up you NorCal ENWorlders and show those Boston folk that we have a vibrant gaming community too!

Ressurrected from Page 4! Only 11 views of this post as I bump it and no replies! Whassamatta? We got no gamers in Northern California?

I see Game Days from other areas have a date. OK. I'll set one. Sunday, April 6th. Now all we need is a location. And some participation! At least show some interest and talk this up! Sheesh!

Northern Californianers are famous for being difficult to get to commit to anything.

I think it's that whole West Coast fear of commitment thing.... ;)

Last time, it was planned on using Great Escape Games on Howe bout Arden in Sacramento as the meeting place.

I don't know of any other place that has a large enough gaming area to accomodate a group.
I can contact them if it's decided that we would like to use their facilities for such a Gathering.

I'm still interested. I believe April 6th should work for me. I refuse to even try to organize this one, though - you're on your own, BloodyMage! :)

You might try cross-posting at rpg.net. The Chicago game days work with both player-pools.

Sorry, Dink, but I don't visit rpg.net at all. Visited once and that was enough. I enjoy civil discourse, not profane, rabid raving.

Btw, I might have a place available for the 6th if y'all are willing to come to Turlock. If not, Sacto's fine as long as we can get the space.

OK. It is the evening of March 18th. We need GMs (not me this time!) and players for April 6th.

Do we do it in Turlock or Sacto? I have a huge space available. In fact, if things go right, it will be the location for The Reliquary, a new gaming store I'm working on opening up. I can have merchandise available if you'd all care to look at some new or different stuff. Or do we head to Great Escape Games in Sacto?

Pipe up here and express a preference. Once we select the venue, then it's on to commitments to run and play.

One other thing. Do you all want a NorCal ENWorld day or a NorCal gamer's day?

Hey, I can't believe it took me this long to see this!

I've got to check my calendar when I get home, but if I can make it I'd still be willing to DM!

I'll let you know later tonight.

I'm in. I really really don't want to go down to Turlock, and in fact, if it is there, I prolly won't go. It's an agoraphobic thing. If it's at Great Escape, someone needs to call them and ask if we can use the space, on Sundays I think it's very full however. I was just in there today, however, and they've straightened up their gaming area and got some new chairs.

Look, as an added incentive to anyone that shows up, I'll be giving out autographs! That's right! Meet Mister Gone live and in person! I'll sign your face! Or arm, or... well, it's up to you.
