Original Post:

So, I know we (we being bloodymage and a few other persistent Californians around these parts) have been trying to get together us gamers in the past, and I figured I'd start a new thread just to see the possibilities.

So, how many gamers are there here in Northern California?

What months are you free?

Would you be willing to get together and play?

Or even DM?

Let's not worry about specific dates at this point, let's just start with who actually is willing to spend time and money to get together and play a game.

And I'd be willing to play, or DM. I'm even willing to drive for up to two or three hours to play, or DM.

How about you folks?

I am in the Sacramento area. I can't drive that far cuz I have a problem being way too susceptible to white line fever (I avoid highways mostly). My fiance would not have the house be used for a whole pack of strangers either unfortunately I'm sure. So, anyway, if someone in this general area wanted to get a game together, I could DM or play, either way. I am available most times, though Fridays are off limits (normal game night for us here). As for which months I am available, well, all of them up until school starts in august.

Oh a good idea I think too would be to include your age. I'm not sure I would personally enjoy being in a game with a bunch of small kids. No offense, just at Con's and whatnot, it's the kids who generally start ruining the fun for the older folk.

I am 28.

By the way, I'm 16, 17 on the 24th.

And I'll be free to game all of June, just about all of July, and most of August, until school starts. Even then, I should be able to go up for a weekend.

And I believe Sacramento was a popular choice for the gaming location in the past.

Same as Tsunami. Mm.... summer vacation.

On a semirelated note, what grade are you going into Tsunami? I'm going to become a god... err, senior. Yay Senior year!

Sac as well, most of the time, and 22. I would have to relearn non-extensively-houseruled-to-all-hell-3rd-edition-D&D to play though, and I remember 2nd edition better :p .

I'm around, and probably available. My car sucks though, it overheats ridiculously easy so very far outside the greater Sacramento area right now is not good for me. But yeah, I'm still interested. As for age, I'm old enough to know better. Har har...

I'd probably rather play, as my GM organs are atrophied from unuse. I would really really like to game though. For it being my hobby of choice, I sure don't do a lot of it.

I'm up for almost anything, although I must admit to being kinda burned out on D20, unless it's an unusal flavor, like Mutants & Masterminds, or something even wackier.

Same here, Grim.

Anyways, it looks like we have a large enough interest group, and it looks as if most people are centered around Sacramento. Are there any places (i.e. gaming stores, comic book shops) that we could game at?

Or would anyone be willing to host it at their house?

The last time this came up, I think the people involved were talking about using Great Escape Games, on Howe (they had gaming space when I was in there a couple of months ago).

(Me, I'm just an observer. I live a 3+ hour drive away. :))

AND you're obviously the tool of the devil!

:D

So... Great Escape Games. Anyone know of it?

And Regdar, Reapersaurus, if you're reading this... if you have any quarrels, go fight it out at Nutkinland this time.
