Do you picture yourself, in a few years, possibly playing a 3.5 based campaign for nostalgia purposes? How long do you think it'll be before you feel like taking a trip 'back' to 3.5, if ever?

If you ever do switch back, how will 4e influence the way you play 3.5?

What would you rather pick up, an old module you never got a chance to play, or some new OGL game?

If I ever wanted to run an FR compaign again, I would have to use 3.5 because these rules fit this setting like a glove. It is one of the problems with 4E that I think WOTC may have killed off the realms.

I'd run a houseruled merge of elements I like from each - D&D 3.5 with some elements from arcana Unearthed and the Pathfinder. And some other 3rd party bits.

I suspect that games like True20 will continue to be supported in the future. As such, I wouldn't classify them as "nostalgia" games...

Nostalgia game, eh? I wouldn't bother with anything from 3rd edition unless I felt a burnin' need to feel deeply confused and frustrated during every combat.

But I'd scour Ebay to track down 1st edition rule books or maybe even a copy of the Red Books.

Same, I'm old enough that 3.5 still feels 'new'. I'd go back to Basic/Expert D&D. Maybe the old Isle of Dread would be a great nostalgia adventure. The players would remember it, but not well enough to be able to metagame.

For me, nostalgia does not equal going back 2 years, it equals going back 20.

The only game I'd run from your choices would be an Iron Heroes game. I wouldn't run 3e/3.5e for nostalgia's sake, but I have in the past run Basic D&D games and can see myself doing that again. But 1e, 2e or 3e? - No.
