As the season of greetings comes to us once again, I find myself having to give a farewell instead of a salutations.
My time is being eaten up by work, the search for a new house, the search for a new job (one that leaves me more hours with family, hopefully) and other pursuits. The little bit of work I've attempted for The Thirteen Kingdoms has me staring blankly at a blank computer screen. Sadly, I find myself without the energy for this project I had when it began.
That all being said, I couldn't be prouder of what we have accomplished here. The world is beautiful and diverse. The campaigns may be few, but they are fun for everyone involved, even the DMs, who don't have to take out a loan to afford the computer space for paperwork.
It is everything I envisioned it could be. I especially want to thank those tireless CMs who have been with us through the begining and have carried this project through thick and thin. You have made this work, guys, and I love you for it.
I always envisioned that this world would live on even after its founders were gone, and I still see that as its destiny. It is time for me, however, to leave it for awhile. At least as a CM. The Thirteen Kingdoms deserve better than I can give it right now.
I WILL be around, and may even find some time to DM or play after the holidays. But for now, I go into the shadows to lurk.
((Don't forget to feed the dinosaurs while I'm gone.))
Wishing you all the best in all things,
Reckless
