I found at Target recently some castle figures in the $.99 bin - little viking guys, some knights on horses... all done in the same plastic as little green army men. Though they weren't green.

Best Non-gaming-intended Mini: Lego mini-figs.
Best New Snack: Scotch
Best Gaming Travel Gear: Milk crate. Try it - hardback rulebooks fit like they were made for it, spines up for easy reading.

Best Non-gaming-intended Mini

This one is easy: the mini-sized Elmo paying piece from the Sesame Street Chutes & Ladders game. It invoked a response of murderous aggression almost as much as the Elminster miniature does (though nothing will ever compete with that).

Best Table Mod: Adding a dry erase whiteboard top to my plywood sheet gaming table for all kinds of notetaking / number tracking. Then I built a second level for my Tact-Tiles.

Best Dice Holder: My Bag O' Dice Holding from The Gamer's Bag.

Best Snack: Sunflower Seeds

Best Marker: Staedtler LumoColor non-permanent. These now come in a smoosh-resistent fine point tip

Best Non-Gaming Mini: Stuff from Fisher-Price's Imaginext line, especially the Giant and dragons.

Best Dice Holder: toss-up between an empty Altoids tin and the plastic box that CCI sells their Maxi-Mag .22 Magnum ammo in. (For big collections, I recommend .30 or .50 call ammo cans from your friendly local Army/Navy Surplus store)

Best Battlemat Marker - Vis a Vis, of course

Best Non-gaming-intended Mini - clear dice cases. These work in a snap for flying PCs. And they're clear and hollow so figs below can be seen.

Best Visual Aid - Trampier pictures. Home-made maps with secrets tied in are great too.

Best Prop - I love props, but we don't really use any. The basics include: books of all sorts, crystal ball, scrolls (an easy one), flasks and vials, cape, hat, gloves, jewelry (including rings), home-made wands, weapons ( I prefer fake), candles, ivory or metal dice, and a waterskin. Other good ones are a chinese puzzle box, bowl (for summoning), quill, fake skull or bones, glass eye, false hand, masks, mirror, and anything that strikes you as immenently cool to add to the game. (All of these are used by the DM and given unknown powers.)

Best Table Addition/Modification - A dedicated gaming room. I don't know how I lived without one before.

Best New Snack - dried flesh.

Best Dice Holder - Used Irish Spring Soapbox. :)

Best Non-Gaming Intended Structure - ??, Model train sets maybe.
