Grinder reloads his crossbow again and aims at one of the fleeing zombies. If he can get a clear shot without threatening any companions, he will again fire.

Keros will step away from the zombie, putting the hawk in between him and it (as far as that's possible, considering the movement mode of a hawk), and cast a magic missile spell at it.

Arkan

Arkan will continue shooting as long as there are unengaged zombies. After that she will draw here blades and attack hand to hand.

Keros steps back five feet and lanuches a magic missile at the zombie, which loses an arm but seems otherwise nonplussed.

Grunlor rushes forward, swinging his axe at the next standing zombie and connecting--so well, in fact, that this zombie's head flies off into the woods.

Grinder sees there's only one zombie still up, and thinks he'd have a hard time hitting it, it being in melee. Selene, however, has no such compunctions, and puts a bolt smack into the back of the zombie, dropping it to the ground.

You now have six freshly re-killed zombies around you, and a mage who seems a bit hurt, and also is motioning you in his direction, saying, "The Hog's Back. Get yourselves to the Hog's Back; they've turned it into a bit of a safe-house! Follow me!"

For the moment, there are no other undead in sight.

OOC: Mechanics:

Keros: magic missile damage roll 1+1 = 2.
Grunlor: attack roll 11+5 = 16 hit; damage roll 7+3 = 10.
Selene: attack roll 9+6-4(melee) = 11 hit; damage roll 6.

Grinder keeps his crossbow loaded and at the ready as he hurries to follow the mage.

"Well, well," he says as he catches up, clapping the mage hard on the shoulder. "Keros Erdenhime. What the devil are you doing here? And what's the story with the zombies? We didn't exactly expect this sort of welcoming committee.

"And what gives with all the evocations you're flinging about? I thought that was my turf. These piddly little zombies aren't even worth the effort."

"Keros, eh? I'm Baril. Good to know you are Grinder's acquaintances. If you can provide us with some kind of explanation what's going on around here, I'm all ears for sure."

The bard keeps the shortbow ready in case the party runs into more undead.
