Notes on the Aether (Rae judging)

The fire elemental ignores the thrown javelin and charges with blinding speed at Rapture. It swings its fiery sword furiously, and Rapture does her best to fend the guardian off. Despite numerous parries and her shield, much of the heat from the sword manages to burn its way through her armor and burn her badly. (Charge attack hits AC 19, 11 damage to Rapture)

The water being replies to Keldar, "Thahyrinn shammah wah thalloh. Wah kithow thalloh zhensif, hreah zhensif tho wah kithowna!"

Tarag...

Aquan Translation: "
Thyrin summoned me here. I'm bound here by this circle, break the circle and I am free
!"

Tarag's rebuke fails to affect the elemental.

Galwynn moves up the stairs. (OOC: Galwynn may change his actions if he wishes)

Tommy...

OOC on the Map: The stairs have no railing on this level, so Fiery's just attacking over the edge, and you can attack back if you could see into the room from your space.

ooc: After seeing what these flaming swords can do, Tommy wants very badly to avoid an AoO. What what would really like to do is cast color spray defensively, then 5' step back. But that would have him finishing in Tarag's square. The only other thing I can think to do to avoid an AoO is full withdraw down the stairs to behind Tarag.

OOC: covaithe, if Rae permits it, Tarag could take a 5 foot step forward to bring him adjacent to Rapture. Would that give you room to cast the Color Spray? It's a move I had considered having him make, so I'm happy to ask Rae to retcon it.

Unfortunately, it seems that Tommy is in front of Tarag, so a 5' step forward for Tarag would land him in Tommy's square. What we need is a 5' swap, or something. :)

OOC: On stairs with a 20' move, Galwynn can't get into an attack position. He can double move into the empty space, taking an AoO, though, which will let Tommy cast safely. Or he can delay until Tommy withdraws down the stairs, and then get that rather good attack in, which is a bit metagamey.

OOC: Yeah, I guess that's right. Forgot about the stairs. But I figured since the Elemental attacked Rapture, I should be able to move right in front of her, take the AoO, and attack.
