Nothing Quite Like A Cup Of Coffee On A Cold Day

I think I understand why coffee is so popular in the US now! Where I am in Australia it is the middle of summer. Today's forecast temperature is 31 degrees celsius! :p

Winter isn't too bad either. On a really cold Winter's day we might see a maximum temperature of about 13 degrees celsius, getting down to 0 degrees celsius (or just below) in the coldest part of the night.

I love Australian weather! Of course dealing with days where it is 40+ degrees celsius isn't exactly fun either.

I've been living in AZ for over 10 years, my body is used to hot and cold bands here.

Dude, real simple: 60 degrees isn't cold. Doesn't matter if you're in the Arizona desert or New England, that isn't a cold morning. That's barely a mildly cool morning.

Unless you're talking about 60 Kelvins, anyway.

Factor in wind chill factor and strength of wind. I don't remember waht it was that day, but I had to step outside to take out the garbage. It was enough to nearly give me a nosesicle. :uhoh:

Yep. Temperature Kelvin is essentially how fast the atoms and molecules in an area are moving on average. To be a negative temperature kelvin, the particles would have to be wiggling...backwards (which is nonsensical, because motion is a vector; it can only have a positive or zero value, and a direction).

273 Kelvin is the temperature at which water freezes. Ergo, -273 would mean it's snowing 'backwards'...but it's not (un?)sticking to the ground yet.

I'm in the Dallas/Fort Worth area- our weather can't seem to make up its mind this January. We've had temps down into the 20s and almost up to the 70's.

Personally, I prefer cool weather (even after getting frostbite), but can stand the heat as well.

Part of it is that when the weather gets cool, I get to wear my best looking clothes...
