"It's about time we had some good news around here."

::She quickly pens up a reply before heading off to the bar for a drink::

Congrats Kat! Gell and I wish you, Scott, and little Kyle all the best. Hope to see you about the tavern again soon.

Congratulations Kat! I was wondering where you were these past few weeks. Good luck, for babies are not only bundles of love, they are a hell to raise and often don't smell nice either.

A new comer to the tavern reads the notice and the replies to it. He pulls from a tattered pouch on his belt a small, sparkling yellow jewel hung by a tarished metal setting from a short leather cord. He tacks it to the board with the whisper of a spell and a note which reads: "I once had a son as well; he was my joy. May his jewel, as it hangs above the cradle, protect your boy from the troubles of this world."
