...What is it? Mundane Backpacks? Bags of Holding or Hevard's Handy Haversack? Do you travel on horseback, with carts, wagons, ships, elephants, dragons, flying carpets - what?

In the campaign I'm currently playing in (5th - 6th level) we have a PC with a complete household on a small mule-drawn cart. The rest of us has horses (only one heavy warhorse) with saddlebags - and until last week we had a HHH (which we lost with the PC who was carrying it - incl. loot worth more than 30,000 gp). We are now considering to found a small circus or traveling sideshow. For this we'll aquire more horses & mules plus 1-2 larger wagons.

We have a wagon and 2 draft horses for the big stuff. We also have one Hevard's Handy Haversack and one of the largest Bags of Holding. It's a 6th level party. So far everything extra fits in the bag of holding, not that we have a lot of stuff to begin with.

4th lvl group here and not a lot of stuff but we all have horses so not an issue at the moment. Can't wait till it is an issue:D

In the weekly I play in....14th level group. I have a Heward's Handy Haversack and keep my wealth in a Portable Hole shared by the group :D

In the game I run...the players can see a moneylender to exchange large amounts of coin for promissary notes that are good throughout the empire. Helps to have a banker as one of your players, props to him for that idea :)

Used to be my group would use mules, laden with the goods. The druid saw to it that they were well-taken care of. "She" and "It" were valuable companions, until the rogue missed that Disable Device check... Squashing walls are not good for mules, or pet Dire Badgers for that matter.

Currently, the "new mule," er, dwarf fighter carries a couple Bags of Holding.

I run two parties in the same world...

...one is slaves to the Mages Guild, and travel via teleports. They have no stuff beyond their immediate equipment, as all loot is kept by the guild, and all their other infrastructure needs (sleeping and eating gear, etc...) are provided by the guild.

...the other travels by bargain-basement used airship or Musk Horn/Ox (from one of the monster supplement books) with a small hutch built on top. They keep loot in a bag of holding.

Each PC carries their personal gear (bedrolls, healer's kits, etc) in their backpacks. Our wizard keeps extra rations, the tent, fodder etc in his bag of holding. Our dwarf barbarian carries the rest. We rarely use horses because we go too many places where you either can't take a horse or it'll get eaten by the time you get back.

Well...since Cedric has 8 levels in an Artificer Prestige Class...everyone in our group had Heward's Handy Haversacks. They are the best...

Cedric
