That is correct, and that is an item it was relevant for the customer to complain about, because the advertising when it was released was false. The fact that the customer was denied a refund was bogus, and that policy should be changed.
Hey, cool.
However, that has nothing to do with a product that hasn't been released yet. Let's wait until release before making accusations, okay?
Can you point to what accusation you mean? There are posts that said, "If this, then that?" which were answered "No, because X, Y, or Z" where I disagree with the answer, and responded thereto. But I am not aware of having made any accusations.
Well, I suppose I accuse WotC of botching the 4e release. And have certainly accused WotC of doing not-X after saying X. I don't think that this is due to malice, but rather due to having too much work for too few hands, due to being rushed on the release, due to instructions from up the ladder changing the plans of those down the ladder, due to not anticipating reactions to certain decisions, and the like. Of course, I don't actually
know. It's just the way it seems from what I've seen.
To be fair, I've not had the pleasure of dealing directly with anyone from WotC, but I know people who have. According to those people, uniformly, the people they have dealt with on the design and/or legal staff have been friendly and helpful. Again, it seems that those folks love the game and are doing the best they can in the circumstances they are in.
I differentiate between the company and the people working for the company, I guess. I've worked for too many places with great people, but screwy internal operations.
