Not to completely hijack here, but what is it with S&SS's complete and total disregard for an index? Man, talk about annoying when you want to look up tribal tattoos for Wood Elves or informaiton on Ontenazu in one of the... well, ALL of the Scarred Lands books published to date. I'd love a master index like what used to be in the old DM screen for D&D.

This has been a real source of aggravation for me as well. Especially when you see the beautiful and complete indexes books like Forgotten Realms get and us SL fans get a woefully inadequate table of contents! I have lamented this fact since day one and it is, in part, my incentive for staring this project. I intend to add in many other things as well (SL feats, races, special rules and spells that don't appear in the 2 Relics and Rituals volumes). I don't really intend to copy out the various texts word for word or anything but I do intend to give a brief rundown on what the PrC/feat/whatever is and does. And, of course, where the full entry can be found :)

I'm glad to see that others woulbe interested in this - I'm going to try it on my own for the time being but if I need help (or just want opinions ;) ) I will be sure to ask.

Acutally, now that i think of it, could anyone who has the Calastia book (nudges Nightfall :D) give me a brief (2-3 sentences) description of the PrCs Nighfall listed above? Also a page reference for each would be great too.

See I'm already asking for help (mainly because I won't be able to get the Calastia book before October/November :) ). I will keep everyone updated on my progress.

Be forewarned, a writer I am not.

Calastian Battle Mage - Trained at the esteemed academy of magic, The Crucible of Mesos, these Calastian militant mage fighters are trained not only in martial magic but also in strategy and other aspects of warfare. They serve to augment a regiment with offensive firepower and suffer the same fate as the common soldiers, win or lose. Coddling just wouldn't befit a member of the Calastian Armed Forces under Virduk's watchful eye. Pg 93-94

Dragon Knight - These chivalric knights ride Mock Dragons into battle driving fear and panic into the enemy. The Dragon Knights have a special mystical bond with their mount which they train with exclusively. Eventually the bond between rider and mock dragon become so intertwined the Knights actually develop charactersitics of their mounts! Pg 95-97

Halfling Stalker - Part of King Virduk's empowerment of the Halfling race has been bestowing military honor on them with this special guerilla warfare/covert operations force. With training in stalking, hiding and sneak attacks these Halflings are not to be underestimated because it may be the last thing one does in this mortal coil. Pg 98-99

Kilharman League Envoy - These inscrutable scoundrels are respnsible for most of the organized crime that takes place right under the Black Dragon Throne's nose. Fences, extortionists and worse, these agents of the organized crime syndicate known as the Kilharman League are near aristocrats who operate outside of the law without regard for the dictates of King Virduk. Pg 100-101

Monk of the Sacred Chain - Monks of Chardun, the Order of the Sacred Chain practice total self mastery through servitude and devotion to The Slaver. As their name implies, they are masters of the spiked chain in combat and believe in perfection through the disciplines of pain and domination through Chardun. Pg 102-103

Thorned Purifier - Master Inquisitors who enforce the will of Chardun, Thorned Purifiers seek to absolve and sanctify the unrighteous followers of other gods, and especially those that fail to reverance Chardun adequately, through pain. With special powers to "help" others see the folly of not acknowledging the Overlord, they can be used by officials to extract information through torture or may just be wandering proselytes expounding and subjugating "converts" for Chardun. Pg 104-106

Hey - that was fast! Thank you very much! I actually started typing out the Races first (after writing out the PrCs by hand I needed to look at something different :) ). I may change the presentation a little but overall it looks good. Again, thanks!

Well, it's merely a minor contribution compared to the arduous undertaking you've described in previous posts. Plus, as a Scarred Lands fanatic I'm glad to pitch in with something I see some potential use for. Best of luck! :)

To add numbers for you here are the quatity of upcoming prestige classes.
Player's Guide to Clerics and Druids: 12 Prestige Classes
Player's Guide to Rangers and Rogues: 11 Prestige Classes
Player's Guide to Monks and Paladins: 11 Prestige Classes (excluding Mithril Knight)

There are also a number of prestige classes coming up in Scarred Lands Campaign Setting: Termana and Vigil Watch: Asaatthi.

I'd contemplated when this run was over and I get some downtime compiling a list of
1) Prestige Classes from all sources to date (Scarred Lands)
and 2) Feats from all sources to date (as above)

There's a mess of them.

3 of those from PG: Rangers and Rogues are mine. Well I wrote them, but I did make up ONE! :)

Werner, don't suppose you can give us an estimate on how many are in SLCS: Termana and VW: Secrets of the Assathi?

Bov,

Sorry I would have got to it sooner, but I'm glad Har filled in that bit.

I don't see any harm in giving numbers but specifics I cannot. I'll ask Joe if he wants (or if he wants me) to do blurbs for these two books like he did with the players guides, but the prestige classes in Termana or Asaatthi are very secondary (but no less cool) to the rest of the book(s). I didn't give numbers in my last post just because I didn't want to tease. But, since you asked.

Scarred Lands Campaign Setting: Termana: 8 Prestige Classes
Vigil Watch: Secrets of the Asaatthi: 6 Prestige Classes

And since we're commenting. 3 of the prestige classes in Termana and 2 of the prestige classes in Asaatthi are mine. :)

Sword and Sorcery Prestige Class Monkey Boy.
